@rasbt You can get the "OpenCV correct" img by using `resize_local_mean`. That's not a bilinear interpolation, but of course is an appropriate way to downsample without losing pixel information. There's a nice test chart in our 2014 discussion at https://t.co/6gPPqq5H1z
