Yes, we need the new thing and we do have a few options the most obvious one is GitHub - BallisticLA/RandBLAS: A header-only C++ library for sketching in randomized linear algebra and RandLAPACK both in C++ but this was more about whether we should squeeze the deprecation now or do the new thing and then do another deprecation later.
Module level deprecations are a big deal so I was wondering whether we should decide now to do both together or not. Hows and whats can be done in a separate thread.
